Discovery of Me within Me
What do I want in my life? What I am passionate about? What do I want to achieve? What do I want to be? These are the questions which bothers us the most. Aren't they? Many of you still struggling to find the answer of your life. Many of us are yet for Discovery of Me within Me.
The reason that we are struggling with the questions is because we are always worried about what our parents and society thinks. As long as we are trapped with what our parents and society think, we can actually never find the answer to the real questions of life.
We all have friends and may be we can see all of them in the most successful career, successful jobs, beautiful partners, whatever it is but we can see the sense of lack of fulfillment, meaning and purpose in their lives and I have always been an observer, I have always seen them and asked myself “Is that the life I want?”
The first step is just opening oneself up to new experiences and new idols. Because most of us can't see ourselves in people so we try to fit into the boxes that we do see and there is a beautiful quote by philosopher and writer Charles Cooley and he said,
While you are living in that bubble and in that echo chamber, getting to what you really want to do is impossible because may be that does not fit and I think so many people feel that way today, that they don't fit into the current education system, they don't fit with the 3,4 or 5 careers that you are taught exists. Being exposed is the primary requirement for the process of self excavation & actualization,as said in anonymous English quote,
Second step is finding that experience or role models that you are passionate about. Even from a distance pursue your idols, connect to them, spend time with them and observe them. It takes that deep inspection and self-reflection, being addicted to inspecting that someone's lifestyle.
Third step is making a decision, going for Yes or NO. Doesn't that work for me?
But not everyone is going to follow the shadow and shadow a billionaire and say that's exactly the lifestyle I want. A Big question to think about, Are you ready for the hard work and follow the process or you just want the result ? and so for me that's the third step; its observing, focusing, shadowing, getting as close as the process of the individual and then going YES or NO.
If you are working in an organization, look at your most senior colleague of you and ask yourself, “Is that where I want to be?” If you are a professional, an athlete or who ever you are, observe the people same as you being is similar situation and ask “Is that what I want to be?”
And if your answer is NO then this is not the place for you and you are not doing what you really want to do in life, are passionate about, find purpose within or what you really want to do in your life.
For me the answer is NO.
And if your answer is NO then this is not the place for you and you are not doing what you really want to do in life, are passionate about, find purpose within or what you really want to do in your life.
For me the answer is NO.
The path that my parents or society, or the schools and colleges I went to, or the community I has that was carving out for me. It didn't feels like the path for me. So, I am almost seeking an alternative or a new path. I am so fortunate that happening to be an uplifting powerful path as opposed something that could have actually taken me down the wrong road, because that could have been possible too.
I think even before that a step is open to new role models and new experiences. We live in echo chambers, we are just surrounded by the people who think same like us. Most of the time we meet the people same like us.
And we talk about that in
the business all the time a famous English quote,
If you want to be billionaire spend time with billionaire; If you want to be millionaire spend time with millionaire. That's the common languages we here all the time but what if you want to find the purpose and master the mind?
The first step is just opening oneself up to new experiences and new idols. Because most of us can't see ourselves in people so we try to fit into the boxes that we do see and there is a beautiful quote by philosopher and writer Charles Cooley and he said,
I am not what I think I am, I am not what you think I am, I am what I think you think I am.We live in the world of perception of a perception of ourselves. Hence my identity is made by what my parents thinks I should be, my identity is made up by what my school and college thinks I should achieve and my society thinks how I have to be.
While you are living in that bubble and in that echo chamber, getting to what you really want to do is impossible because may be that does not fit and I think so many people feel that way today, that they don't fit into the current education system, they don't fit with the 3,4 or 5 careers that you are taught exists. Being exposed is the primary requirement for the process of self excavation & actualization,as said in anonymous English quote,
You can't BE what you can't SEEIf I never meet a billionaire I wouldn't want to be one. If I never meet a influencer I wouldn't want to be. Because I don't know what it look like, because I don't know what it takes and I think that's the biggest challenge of our society, that we are not exposed. So that's the first step is Being Exposed to unique experiences and role models.

Do I want the process? Not do I want the result because if you only focus on the result and not on the process then ultimately you cannot achieve what you want. So results are undeniable if you focus on the process of procedure.
